Camden Spiller
Founder / Administrator

Camden Spiller founded Homeschool ALUMNI with his brother, Riley Spiller in 2005. Camden serves Homeschool ALUMNI as Administrator.

Camden is a follower of Jesus Christ, a homeschool graduate, and the eldest of seven children who were all homeschooled by their father since the early 1980's.

At the heart of Camden's efforts to build up the homeschool graduate community is his belief that personally teaching one's own children is an inherently spiritual practice, gift, and responsibility.

In addition to their work with Homeschool ALUMNI, he and Riley have also founded several businesses that have enabled them to work from home, travel, and pursue independent studies, projects, and interests. Camden has worked as a software engineer since the late 1990's.

He currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina.

Riley Spiller
Founder

A native of Texas, and a thriving transplant to Southwest Missouri, Riley Spiller is a photographer, entrepreneur, musician, avid traveler and motor-bike enthusiast.

Riley manages the web site development and hosting business that he and brother Camden founded in 1998. Although the web development business keeps him busy, photography is his primary outlet for creative expression. His photo-journalistic style weddings and events have been featured in magazines and publications throughout the United States.

Although he considers himself an amateur musician, Riley has served as a praise and worship leader in churches in Texas and Missouri.

Riley founded Homeschool ALUMNI with older brother, Camden, after seeing the need for community among homeschool graduates and realizing the opportunities for support and encouragement.

Elysse Barrett

Elysse is the oldest of seven children who have all been home educated since 1985. Through her parents' involvement in the early homeschooling movement, she saw the days when homeschooling was not widely accepted. She is passionate about efforts to facilitate and encourage the homeschooling lifestyle to continue to thrive.

In her creative moments, she is a writer, co-authoring three books to date. Elysse is an amateur music connoisseur, avid traveler, and inspirational book collector.

A perfect day for Elysse would include a warm breeze, the noise of an airplane, conversations with friends, iced coffee, a good book, and the sound of children's laughter.

Elysse's driving passion is to be the hands and feet of Jesus which she fulfills through serving with several ministries. There is nothing that thrills her more than seeing authentic faith supported by strong community.

Heather Lingley
Assistant to the Administrator

Heather Lingley is the eldest of six children, all of whom have been homeschooled since birth. She graduated from high school in 1996 and is very grateful to her parents for the tireless effort and dedication they invested in her education and training.

Out of her personal relationship with Jesus Christ flows a desire to continue to invest in the homeschool community by encouraging and challenging homeschool graduates to take the baton handed to them and carry it forward into the next generation.

Heather previously worked as an Advertising Sales Representative for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.

In addition to her work with Homeschool ALUMNI, Heather is a regular contributor to Tapestries of the Heart Magazine, a certified Hospice volunteer, and treasurer for a local non-profit organization. She also serves on the staff of Summit Ministries in near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
