"Ah, the pitter-patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots... SHUT UP!!!" Malcom Reynolds - War Stories
"Have you ever heard the wonderful silence just before the dawn?" she inquired. "Or the quiet and calm just as a storm ends? Or perhaps you know the silence when you haven't the answer to a question you've been asked, or the hush of a country road at night, or the expectant pause in a roomful of people when someone is just about to speak, or, most beautiful of all, the moment after the door closes and you're all alone in the whole house? Each one is different, you know, and all very beautiful, if you listen carefully."
From The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster.
"Hold on! Was there a thanks buried in that pile of invective?'
"If so, it was a very small one."
Nathaniel and Kitty - Ptolemy's Gate
I was homeschooled K-12! I love books, both reading and writing them. I used to love politics, but I am recovering from that.
I believe that all humans have a natural right to self-defense. I believe that Christians are called to sacrifice that right.
My "categories": Pre-trib, semi-predestination, conditional eternal-security, non-KJV only, young-earth creationist, courtship, pro-hugging, non-dresses only, pro-rock, pro-video game, pro-video watching, non-Harry Potter hater, non-messianic, libertarian. Yes, I have an opinion on almost everything. No, I don't know enough to really deserve that privilege. :D

You are invited to the first ever Winter Gathering in Colorado Springs!
January 7 - 9, 2011
On the agenda: Activities like sledding, ice skating, as well as a chance for a scavenger hunt, sightseeing, fellowshipping with other HSAers, playing games inside if it's too cold outside, and possibly a Civil War Ball…
and let us know if you'd be interested in coming! I know it's rather early for definite responses - we just appreciate getting a “no,” a “maybe,” or a “possibly” if you think you might be interested! Hope to see you there!
There is going to be a HSA event in Denver this month!
What: Bowling and picnic at a park
When: June 26 at 3:00 PM
Where: Arvada Lanes at 6550 Wadsworth Bypass, Arvada, CO 80003-4400
We will be meeting at 3:00 at the bowling alley to play a few games. The cost is $1 per game and $4 for shoes. Each game after the first is another $1. After bowling, we will be driving over to the nearby Memorial Park where we will have dinner. Everyone needs to bring their own sack dinner. We will have a picnic at the park and everyone can hang out, play Frisbee, and chat for as long as each person can stay. Please RSVP if you can come, so that I can reserve lanes at the bowling alley.
I hope to see you there!
So since many have asked, I think I better explain. I programmed a little script that allows me to send FNs to all my friends fairly fast and easy. That was the test. It's not admin approved, so I don't want to hand it out.
But... I found that I ran another test... "See how many people will respond when I send out a random FN to all my friends." Y'all made me smile. Thanks for responding!
