I was born and raised in Oklahoma and was homeshooled most of the way. I started out attending a Christian private school, went to public school for a year, and began homeschooling in 5th grade. I graduated from high school in 2003. Now, I'm a senior at Oklahoma State majoring in civil engineering and will graduate in May. I feel God's call on my life to go into ministry, and this fall I'll enroll at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City. I'll major in music and either missions or pastoral.
Definitely the most important thing about me is my faith. I was raised in church and saved at the age of 10. I'm an independent fundamental Baptist and very passionate about my convictions.
I've played the piano since I was 7, and I started learning a little violin last year.
Favorite Books:
The Bible (duh). Although, I'm TR-only which means I reject virtually all of the modern versions based on their text. Functionally, I'm essentially KJV-only.
America's God and Country, Bones of Contention
The books I primarily read are my textbooks. Sad yet true.

Favorite Music:
traditional Christian music
Some of my favorites: Resplendant in Your Glory, To Resue A Sinner Like Me, God's Word Changes Lives, Are You Ready, I Stand Redeemed
Hymns
Favorites: I Sing the Mighty Pow'r of God, And Can It Be, How Firm a Foundation, It Is Well, Wonderful Grace of Jesus, Holy Holy Holy, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee, How Great Thou Art
some southern gospel, but I'm pretty picky as it can quickly turn into rock-style music. I really enjoy the more conservative side of it.
I play hymn arrangements, Classical, and Romantic music; although lately it's been primarily hymn arrangements. My favorite arranger is Dino, and I have songs from various other arrangers. My favorite composers are Bach (yeah, he's baroque and not classical), Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Schumann, and Schubert.

I'm curious as to the weather out around you, I know this may seem odd and I'm sorry for that. My family would like to move out to OK so I've been doing some research for them... especially weather, my Dad (who has a disease) can only handle so many weather types so I've been trying to pinpoint just the right place for them there in OK. Would greatly appreciate your info!

Welcome to HSA! I also play piano! When you major in music, will it be instrumental or vocal?
