About Me:

I just graduated with an AA.LIBA from Lone Star College Kingwood, and now work there full time. I am also in the process of applying to Thomas Edison State College to pursue my B.A. in history. I haven't decided if I want to try for a Master's in History upon completing the B.A, or if I should go to Law school (decisions decisions...)

I absolutely love History, especially pre WWII Europe.

I believe that there are some things worth fighting for. Which is good, because I like to argue with people.

I am passionately convinced that Christianity is the most logical and complete worldview, and I am equally committed to attacking all worldviews that are in opposition to it.

With that said, I am also a Christian who does not have all of the answers. However, I am rather firmly convinced of the answers that I think I have!

I've had a long denominational history starting with attending an A/G church, moving to a spirit filled non-denominational church, having a brief (and unhappy) stint at a Southern Baptist church, and ending in a United Pentecostal church where I am truly happy.

I am a FIRM Arminian, I cannot understand how anyone could serve the God of the "reformed".

I strongly believe in the "gifts of the Spirit", having personally experienced them.

I love to drive, which is kinda bad news for the rest of the world! (putting it nicely, I'm a slightly aggressive driver!) I don't speed as much as I used to though, as speeding tickets are expensive...

For employment I evaluate transcripts, advise people on classes, try to calm down irate students and parents, and generally try to practice patience and not blow up at the spectacular displays of stupidity that I see on a daily basis... I really do love my job. Sometimes... :D

Feel free to look me up on Facebook, as I am more active there. I am under Nathan A. Byrd, and I always love to add HSAers.

Favorite Books:

The Bible, the Lord of the Rings, the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Pretty much any non fiction pertaining to WWII, religion, philosophy, and politics.

Favorite Music:

Casting Crowns, Kutless, Skillet, Creed.

Brad Paisley, George Strait, Alan Jackson

Nickelback, Greenday, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin (my guilty pleasures)

Most Classical with the exception of Bach (I detest his music with a hatred seldom reserved for anything in God's creation!) I'm also a fan of The Fray.

I love Celtic/Scottish music. Especially the band Prydein. They really know how to make an old song sound great by mixing it with rock!

For some reason, every time I look at your picture, I think you look exactly like Joe Hardy from the Hardy Boys books...

So since many have asked, I think I better explain. I programmed a little script that allows me to send FNs to all my friends fairly fast and easy. That was the test. It's not admin approved, so I don't want to hand it out.

But... I found that I ran another test... "See how many people will respond when I send out a random FN to all my friends." Wink Laughing Smile Y'all made me smile. Thanks for responding!

This is mostly a test. It's also a chance for me to tell all my HSA friends I miss having as much time for HSA. Smile Have a great day!

I saw your Skillet thread.

Since the launch of the new-thread validation process, there's been this bug. If the OP edits their post, it causes the subsequent ones to need validation, as if they are the OP!

Kinda annoying.
