I am learning to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I have learned to know Him as my Lord and Savior, and am now learning to know Him as my Father, my Friend, and the Lover of my soul.
I love housework, cooking and baking, tutoring, and assisting children with learning disabilities or special needs. I love to know that I have been a help to someone or have made them feel successful.
Too many to list. My favorite is often the one I read last. :-)
His Princess: Love Letters from Your King (I read a page of this every day.)
Hinds Feet on High Places
The Dream Giver
The Life Model: Living from the Heart Jesus Gave You
The Complete Guide to Living with Men (No, it is not what you think it is! It is a more detailed version of The Life Model. Fascinating!)
Victory Over the Darkness
Biographies (short list):
Corrie ten Boom
I just wanted to drop you a note to say I've been reading some of your excellent posts on HSA (mostly about parental authority), and it's been very fascinating and eye-opening. I occasionally struggle with the whole 'how much parental authority is logical and biblical?', and I've found your posts very in-depth. Thanks. Hope to read some more from you! (:
I hear you. I'm trying to learn that when the words don't come, it is probably just best to shut up. I'd really rather my words add something to a conversation, so if I don't think they will, I'd better let someone else do the speaking. (Or I might get myself in trouble. lol)
I've been staying out of it, because on the last thread where I interacted with Mr. W. he was rather nasty, and I just don't feel like jumping into that again. Though on this thread I've gained a little respect for him, since he hasn't been nasty and has been explaining his viewpoint a bit better. Plus you did such a great job of presenting your points, I'd have nothing to add anyway.
