I am currently traveling as a Labor and Delivery nurse and working in Homer, Alaska. The beauty of this place nearly takes my breath away!
Back in the day...before homeschooling was a word...my parents began to educate their nine children at home. In Washington state we were simply truant. I graduated in 1974!
We home educated all five of our children all the way through high school. (even assisting their college experience) Then
I followed them to college myself. I am pursuing a Master's in Nursing at present. I am not sure how God will bring all things together but he always has so far!
I have been a midwife here in the rural Ozarks for the past 24 years. It is a calling that I hold dear. The Lord willing I hope to eventually participate in some form of instructional progam for non-traditional :-) women who are called to serve other women in this way.
My husband of 33 years, Richard, and all five of our children are being very supportive of me, for which I am very grateful. Without their love. prayers and enthusiastic support I doubt that I would have plunged into this awesome experience!
My children are Richard (31, Kansas City) twins (27) John (wife Kristin, Ozark) and Sarah (Springfield) and twins (23) Michael and Mary(Springfield).
Favorite Books:
I enjoy accurate historical fiction, biographies. Currently: works by Os Guinness

Favorite Music:

Hey, thanks for the note Yeah, school started up a couple weeks ago and I'm really liking my schedule. I'm only in class 2-3 hours a day... so it accomodates my work and HSA life fairly well I even manage to get some personal time for reading and social event here and there... so yeah, life is busy, but good
