Reading and writing are cherished pursuits. I'm a firm believer that the best place to read is up in a tree with a pb&j sandwich. I'm a creative person and I like to draw and do other art & craft things. Other enjoyed activites include knitting, music, archery, dogs, watching movies, hanging out with friends and being in the great outdoors. Camping is one of my favorite things in this world. There's nothing quite like waking up at the break of dawn to the sound of birds and other critters, or a fog horn in the distance. I love photography and would like to try my hand at making movies. God blessed me with wonderful parents I loathe to be parted from for long. We go to Church of Christ (non-instrumental).

HSA National Reunion 2009
I was homeschooled from 7th grade through graduation in 2005. Before that I was private schooled K - 2nd and public schooled 3rd - 6th.
I survived the 2009 National Reunion! It was totally awesome! It was neat meeting so many wonderful, fantastic, genuine people who are just as crazy and weird as me. I loved every minute of the reunion and wished it could've lasted longer.
Went to the 2008 Missouri Mini Reunion and had a blast...and managed to survive. It was great meeting other HSAers in person. Felt like coming home to family to be completely honest.
Things I would like to learn: the Welsh and Gaelic languages, how to play the harp, swordfighting (crazy I know), kayaking and how to make books.

Just about anything by Jane Austen, G.A. Henty, Agatha Christie, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Susan Cooper. Of course being a homeschooler this only scratches the surface. I recently discovered the "Adventures Of Tintin" comic books by Herge and I absolutely love them!
Pride and Prejudice - Austen
Persuasion - Austen
The Scarlet Pimpernel - Orczy
The Dragon and the Raven - Henty
Chronicles of Narnia - Lewis
Dark is Rising series - Cooper
LOTR - Tolkien
Wind in the Willows - Grahame

Adventures of Tintin (all of them) - Herge
and too many others to list!

Favorite Music:
I really like celtic and harp music. I'm a big fan of "Popera". I enjoy classical music and big band. I love soundtracks from my favorite movies. I'll also listen to bluegrass and a little jazz. And some contemporary Christian.

Ah, well sounds like things are going well for you
I heard that Wichita just got slammed with a nice hail storm? Did it hit in your area, or have you noticed if there is much damage there?

Hey, I'm doing well thanks, and I hope you're the same! Yeah, I'm busy working up in Montana right now, and I think I've got another month or two before the work runs out. Love the dry climate and the amazing scenery up here. What's going on in your world?
