Once upon a time I was here a good bit. I met wonderful friends whom I'm still connected with and some of which I see regularly :-) Then along came facebook, and my husband, and my children, and my sewing... okay, there was always my sewing lol!
I noticed that all of my photos couldn't be viewed anymore.. so I've deleted them and will add some new.
"Life is Fragile, Handle with Prayer"
"Prayer, the World's Greatest Wireless Connection"
I rarely read these days. I used to when I was single. But now being a wife and mother, and putting so much into my sewing, books just don't seem to happen... unless its a book on pattern designing.
Stuff that speaks of how great God is! Love my contemporary Christian music <3
Are you planning to move far? Or no definite plans yet?
Yes, it's quite an adjustment! Of course, as soon as I can get a few piano students, that will keep me a little busier. I have been able to do a lot more reading, which is something I didn't have time to do during the engagement/wedding planning time of life!
As far as hobbies, I love to read, and play the piano, I also cake decorate and I'm an old movie "buff."
Well I hope it's cold enough that y'all can come then!! That'd be great! The weather kinda goes back and forth up here...so we'll just have to see...:/ lol It probably does that for y'all too, I reckon.
Thanks for the blog comment. I've actually been in a home church most of my life from when I was 8 years old. For 2 years we were at a "public church" as my little sister likes to call it. Other than that, my dad has been the same as yours and been our teacher for the most part. But, since we'll be moving, we decided to look around and attempt to "go to church" to better connect with the church body and make friends in this area where we more or less know nobody. While here to look around at houses, we also went to a couple of churches. Coming from a home church environment, I feel like I'm maybe too critical sometimes.
Thanks...blogging does help connect me with other people. I like having one here instead of a public one...not as "out there" I guess. I used to journal a LOT...but have been very bad about it in the last couple of years. Blogging also helps me get my thoughts out of my head more...so it's almost relaxing for me, in a way. I try to be brief for the sake of others...alas, I'm still workin' on that one. You can do it...it doesn't have to be all the time or anything. Your comments, as well as others, always make me happy too...one thing I love about blogging!
Yes, that has been the toughest part about getting married, we moved two hours away from home and family. Leaving behind an *awesome* church and all of my sweet piano students. It's been an adjustment, and it's been nice to start out our life together by ourselves, but it's had it's lonely moments too (I'm not used to being alone during the day yet!)
By the way, I love your daughter's name! Jubilee is such a pretty name, and it's unique, which is awesome.
I. am. so. scared. lol. It's not getting very cold up here!!! :O Actually, the last approx. week has been pretty cold...we had some snow..which then stayed around for like 3 days or so..nice and cold. Good skiing weather. But today was back up in the 40-50's I think. Everything's melted and muddy again. :/ Oh dear. lol I sure hope it's cold when y'all come up!! If it's not...we'll play volleyball. hehehe
Aw...boys can be very loving, just in 'their way.' Hopefully your talk with them went over well. How old is Jubilee now?? BTW, how'd you and Josh come to decide on "Jubliee"??? Pretty name.
I'm #3 out of 6...my oldest sister is my half-sister really, and she's 21 years older than me. She tries to act like my mom sometimes, but we've become really good friends over the last few years, since we relate on more than we used to. Plus, I wasn't raised with her, so didn't know her too well beyond 'she's my sister and we see her once in a while' till about when I was 16. After her is my brother (25), and under me I have 3 sisters (16, 12 and 10). I love being in a big (to me, at least) family!
You're the oldest of 9...right??
