I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. I can not imagine life without my Lord and Savior!
I am 21 years old and the oldest of 10 siblings. I thank the Lord for, and enjoy our large family! The Lord has blessed our family through adoption. Four of my youngest siblings were adopted from Asia.
I live in the outskirts of the San Francisco bay area of California on a 5 acre hobby farm. We have a horse, a milk cow, llamas, dogs and chickens.
I was homeschooled since 2nd grade. I am very grateful to my parents for choosing to educate me at home, even though it was definitely not the easiest option!
If the Lord chooses to bless me with a family someday, I definitely hope to homeschool my children.
I am very interested in missions work. I spent June and July of this summer in the bush of Alaska working as a counselor at a summer camp for native Alaskan children. I was also blessed to be able to spend several weeks in small Alaskan villages doing evangelism work and teaching VBS.
Some of my other interests include cooking and baking. I do most of the cooking for my family and love it! I also enjoy cake decorating. I love looking through design books and getting new ideas for future cake projects. I also love to read, although I don't have as much time for it as I used to.
I have played classical piano for 8 years and hope to start teaching this year.
I love babies and children and work as a mothers helper for Moms I know that need extra help.
When I'm in the mood to do something thrilling I enjoy skiing, rockclimbing and rappelling , Horseback riding, riding roller coasters and investing in the stock market :-)
I love meeting people, so feel free to drop me a note or PM me.

Well, I did not end up doing what I said I would.
I ended up running for an hour instead of 20 or 30 minutes... What can I say, am I guilty for not keeping my word?

My excuse for taking up more FN space is I did not answer your question about How Far.
Last week I did a bunch of really fast paced 15-20 minutes, topped with Joshua F. and I doing a slow 40-50 minute run.
When I run by myself, I always go at almost the same pace, which is around 6 minutes per mile.
So next week I would like to do a few 30 minute runs, and maybe a 1 hour run some time(which I will try to take slower) later in the week.
My Mom has wanted me to make sure I am health, so I have been looking at some running tips and ways to stay safe. There is a style called the POSE technique. Not sure I want to put the effort into the training needed to adapt to it. What do you think?

skiing here in Texas? Are you kidding? I should look in the world record book, and see if there is anyone that has ever skied in Texas! Ok, maybe I exhagerate... Yeah, I would like to say I skiied all the way down at Black slope, but wait, you won't let me go down one will you? I don't know if I will be back in time this year to get on any white ice. (certainly won't be powder!)
You know me, I don't run much. Last year I only ran about 10 times besides the races. I can just up and run a 10k anytime. However with my goal of trying to do a marathon, I am going to have to change that, since I recently did a 10 mile run, and got killed!(I took it really fast though, trying to keep up with someone)
So I hope to run a couple times a week while I am down here. So check in on me, and make sure I doing it, ok? With that said, I will go tomorrow morning* !
(* if it is not too cold!! ) Ok, I will stop hogging up your FN space!

Glad you liked it! It is best if you like running WHILE you are doing it too! I have to say that run is not the prettiest one I have done, but I guess it is nice and close!
On the otherhand, it will probably be nicer than the one I am planning to do. There is a 5k Run coming up on the 21st here in San Antonio, I assume downtown.....

I was wondering if they were going to do that to you! So did your sister run too?
You said you were glad you did it. That is what I like to hear! It feels good to HAVE done it, although it might hurt a little afterwards! Did you enjoy it WHILE you ran it?
Great Job! Post a picture if you get one.

Anybody still running around there with the rain? I am getting some running in.
After Friday I hope to post another 'State of Texas' blog about how I am doing with my job. Friday they are supposed to call me.
