I'm not a pilot just a designer. Was part of the team who designed the part of the aft skins for the new 787 and am now working liaison. Graduated in 2005 with degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering. Have loved aircraft since I was a kid. Glad to see that I'm not the only homeschooler interested in aviation.

Cool. Do you actually work for Boeing directly or another company? I have a friend with Boeing in Kansas who worked on the horizontal stabilizer engineering team (I think that's where he was) - I know there's a gillion people in both companies, but his name is Matt Kelly... you guys wouldn't have crossed paths by chance would you?

Anyway, welcome to the group!
