Okay, so I have a problem. My Camelbak plastic pollutes my water. Seriously! Every time I fill it up for a hike, about an hour into the hike my water tastes like mold. I always wash it, clean it, and dry it immediately after the hike. Any ideas, or suggestion on how to clear this up?
I'm dehydrating on my hikes!
*I have tried rinsing it out with bleach after each usage...still no luck.
Thanks in advance!!

Good question!
Depending on how old your Camelbak is, it might be a good time to buy a new reservoir.
The newest reservoirs have anti-microbial compounds embedded in the reservoir film. That should prevent the yucky taste.
If you have a pretty new Camelbak and you have cleaned it with chlorine then there wouldn't be any mildew. The taste is probably a bit of a plastic flavor. Yucky, yes, but not deadly.
Try adding a some beverage flavors or an electrolyte such as Gatoraid.
When you clean a Camelbak it is important to rinse it out and then open it up to dry. You can hold it open by sticking the delivery hose inside the reservoir.
A cleaning product such as these tablets can also be good.

I'll have to try those tablets! I purchased my Camelbak last summer, so it's not that old.
Thanks for the advice!
