I saw a plate the other day that said "Who needs a therapist, I have a sister!" That is *so* true, but I found I never appreciated my family, or was that close to them until I moved half-way across the country. I haven't worked with my family in a business sense in years, but I found that between my sisters and I, there was quite a bit of rivalry, and I'm glad that 'my job' on the farm was only mine, and I didn't have to share it or try to work with anyone else. Even though I'm 4th of eight, I still have loner tendancies and sometimes find it hard to work with other people. Now though, I think it'd be easier to work with family, because I realize how deeply we understand each other just because we share the same history.

After 10 years of working in the family business.. I can say it has it's advantages (you can't get fired... even when you want to ) and it's disadvantages. (imagine living with your boss and co-workers) I haven't decided if the advantages out weigh the disadvantages yet.
