I moved over in January to visit a friend. He didn't want to see me go, so instead we married. My father had come with me to visit with him and his family, and so gave me away that month to a man as equally interested in farming as I am. I have previously worked on dairy, sheep and canola farms, and small fruits. I have done some other work in labouring with my hands, and am strongly excited to venture ahead with my husband to new ground in Michigan as we are both going to move from Maine in the beginning of the new year and start up a business in auto mechanics so as to make enough money to purchase our own land.
I have come to learn of many different farming methods since coming to the USA.
I have grown up in and around both rural areas and suburbia back in Australia, and am now back in the country again, only in the USA instead of back home.
I am interested in farming crops, corn and soybean likely, and sheep.
That's all from me for now, as I must head out with my husband for dinner.
God bless,
Bonnie

Welcome, Bonnie! Wow. all the way from Australia? that is so cool! I'm sure farming is done very differently here than what you are used to, but maybe we can learn some different ideas from you!
Hopefully you'll have fun on your new adventure here in America... looking forward to having you as apart of this group!
