On Oct 17th, at exactly 12am, we welcomed our first child, James Michael, into the world. We are so blessed to have him. After about 2 days of labor and his heart not tolerating it, we had to do an emergency c-section. But we so happy he is healthy and here!

James weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce, and was 19 and 1/2 inches long.

Just trying to recover now, and enjoy the precious time with our newborn. He is already growing a lot in these 3 weeks. Thanks for all the prayers. He is a joy!!! Very Happy After loving the movie October Baby, we now have our very own, October Baby! Cool

Michael holding us close to his heart! We are overjoyed by the little blessing God has given us.

Our family is growing! We would appreciate your prayers for a healthy mom and baby. I am about 8-9 weeks along. Due the first week in Oct. Tomorrow we go for our first appointment, so we should know more then. We are really excited and I am really sick. Been battling a lot of morning sickness, especially at work. We will keep you updated.
*Apparently my last entry wasn't far from the truth, and yet I had not meant it that way at all. Was speaking of my nephew and had no idea we were expecting then. Very Happy

My little nephew, Jackson Thomas Fuchs, was due on Feb 14th, but was born today. Couldn't be more loved. It was almost even more special since it is my grandpa's B-day too!!!! Such a precious little boy!!!! Can't wait to hold him more. Mommy and baby are doing well. I found out her water broke on my lunch break and I was not done with my afternoon patients, before he was born. Shocked Sarah is an amazing mom!!!!! So thankful for the little blessing he is. Very Happy

I am loving being an aunt to 5 now, soon to be 6. Razz It is the best.

David and Sarah are HSA'ers and were around in the early days. This is their 4th child. Here are links to their profiles. David:

It was 3 yrs ago today, that my wonderful husband asked me to be his wife! I am so glad he asked, and even more thankful that I said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy Been wearing his beautiful ring ever since and so proud to be called Mrs. Michael Baker. Wink

Thanks darling for being my Mr. Michael, as in my Mr. Knightly, and treating me as your Princess!

We have only grown more in love each day. Marriage has been amazing! Been through good and hard times, sickness and health, and more then I could have imagined. It has caused us to grow by stretching us, and to grow as one. But we are better and stronger, more dependent on each over and most of all God. Can't wait to see what the future holds! Shocked And to grow old with you, sweetheart! Cool

Congrats to my brother John, and his wife, Esther!!!! They just welcomed their first child. Little Derek Oscar Fuchs was born at 3pm today. We are so happy and thankful. Just wished we lived closer so we could be there and and see and hold him.

We now have a Christmas baby in the family.

Some of you might remember them here on HSA. They are pretty much some of the oldies. (Yep, just realized Esther was the 11th HSA'er member and John was 93. LOL! History there for sure folks.)
Here are links to their profiles. Sorry, I forgot how to put the links in correctly.

Today is a very special day, it marks the 4 yr anniversary of Michael Baker asking me to enter a courtship with him. I am so thankful he did this!!!!! Our lives are forever changed for the best! He was so brave, sweet, and kind; in asking with the sole intention of pursuing marriage. We had only met 2 times prior in person- in group settings. But we knew God had His hand in this. So glad I said yes! God has blessed our relationship these past 4 yrs. I love you darling! (We always remember this day..... almost more then our engagement and wedding day, since I guess it was truly the start of our relationship.) Oh and it is Mercy Hope's and Caitlin Baker's B-day too. Very sweet sisters to me, so it makes it even more special! Very Happy Very Happy

2nd Anniversary!

Michael and I just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary!!!!!! Very Happy

I realized I had not updated my blog on here since our 1st Anniversary. I really should keep up better. Shocked

But I had a wonderful 2nd Anniversary with my sweet husband!!! I love him more then the day we married and it keeps getting better. Wink We had a get away to Branson, MO, where we went on our honeymoon. We stayed at a lovely B&B and then played mini golf and went to SDC for the activities. He also took me to a sweet restaurant in the old downtown. And we bought Crocs after my shoe broke while golfing....a whole other story. I was one of the last in the family to convert. Razz (I got two- holes in 1- with a broken shoe though. Maybe I should play that way. Rolling Eyes )

I am so thankful for my loving and patient husband. He is so kind and always thinking of others. He can always make me laugh too and challenges me spiritually. I thank God every day for him and allowing me to be his wife.

Life has been really really busy, but good for us. I am still working full time, so that has not changed but we are busier each day it seems. We have loved making our little house a home. We have built up our little hobby farm and enjoyed our own eggs, until all our chickens were attached this year. I am down to 1 horse now, but have done a few shows this summer. And Michael has switched career paths for now and it doing full time school, majoring in cell biology and hoping to put that towards Dental school, and he has taken up golfing this week. Also two of my sister in laws are expecting, which is very happy news. So life it full of surprises and never ceases to amaze me. I also realize more each day how much we have to rely on God through each day, to supply our needs and strength for the journey. I better get back to work around here until I get a chance to update again.

Today we are celebrating our first anniversary!!!!! We are both so much more in love then when we got married, which I didn't think was possible. Wink Been through so much in such a short time. Michael is the best husband in the whole world, through it all. I love you dearest!!!!!!!!Very Happy

We had a wonderful brush earlier today with Raspberry pancakes, bacon, and 3 of our little eggs, from our farm. It was fitting that today we ate the first ones ever laid here, at the Baker farm. Our little house is like a honeymoon cottage or bed and breakfast.....we just happen to think the best. (Just always looked like one to us. )

So looking forward to the rest of our lives and many more anniversaries to come.

Just sitting in shock, of the recent news I just learned about one of my favorite artists. (Well, I am way behind times like 8+ yrs on the music scene. Embarassed) But I pop in an old CD titled Kansas and sang along tonight, and then when I got home. Very Happy
Then went on facebook to find some stuff posted on Josh Harris's blog, about Jennifer Knapp's recent interviews! Shocked You can view the whole thing at Christianity Today's interview. Very sad to see some people we knew to make choices like this. You can look it up if interested about her announcement of being gay. Sad
We were always loyal, since she grew up kind of near where we did in Kansas.

Anyway, too busy to post more about our fast paced life here on the farm.

P.S. Please pray for dear friends who just lost their baby boy who was 9 weeks early, and stillborn. We had been planning the shower this last week and it has been very tearful around here. But God is still in control and still good!

Our little farm just grew today by 9 little chicks!!!! I was only going to get about 4-6 laying hens, but the guy selling thought 8 would be best, in case we lost some and this was the last day they were selling them. Then he threw in a free runt, so now we have 9 little chicks. So cute and a dream come true for me, since it has been years since either of our family's had our chickens. Very Happy Cool Rolling Eyes Yes, we are a little crazy and still in the honeymoon stage I think, but oh so happy!!!!!!!! Wink

Hubbie's job!

Praise the Lord for helping my husband, MichaelB, find a job!

He is starting it, as I write this. Please pray for him today. He wishes he had more time for HSA, but since getting married, he has been doing odd jobs, working on various people's cars, with his mechanic skills, and helping with the house and animals, and doing lots of school. (Graduating this Spring!)

Anyway, we have been searching and praying for months, and an opportunity came up for him to do mechanic work at a very large and reputable dealership. Hopefully he can gain the experience, and obtain all his certifications, and most of all provide for our family, which I know has been a huge burden on him. We are so grateful to God!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Send him a FN or PM if you think of it and or miss MichaelB on HSA! I know it would be very encouraging.

Thanks

Blessings to all our friends,
The Snuggle Bugs

NOW PLAYING:
Vanity and Valor

Play written by Jacob Fuchs

The next few weeks this will be playing in Ozark MO. Please see the link below for ticket information. A lot of homeschoolers (including HSA members) preform these plays and my brother wrote this some time ago and they are actually preforming it opening tonight. He did an excellent job and it is top notch. Don't miss if if you are anywhere in the area.

Celebrations:
Sweet sisters B-day's today. Mercy and Caitlin's!!!! Very Happy

And our 2 yr anniversary of Michael asking to officially court me! We had a candlelit dinner, slow dancing, talking etc., all with the sweet music CD and tea lights, we got from Mercy and other HSA peeps, at the reunion on our honeymoon. Thanks everyone. This is the anniversary we most seem to celebrate, since it was a very serious step and when we started to share our hearts. Wink

Our family is expanding some.....hehe, we got a new dog today. I am so excited and very giddy. She is actually not a puppy or anything, about 5 yrs old and recovering some and needed a kind family to adopt here. (Craziest looking dog-Pyrenees and Australian Shepard Mix. So no small dog here. The collar bunched up her hair and it made her look like a lion and very much like a Husky. (and yes guys, this made us cry, "Lion in the yard, Lion in the yard"!)

Hopefully she will be good and get along with the horses and then cats and chickens. (Working on those right now. Only own the horses for sure. Very Happy) But Michael and I are working on the dream we both shared of a small mini family farm. (We shared this dream before we even knew each other. Very Happy)

It's taking over......farmville that is....

So married life is far more busy than I ever imagined and hard to keep up with chores while working full time and Michael doing college. But somehow I still manage to do all the cooking(trying to do too many gourmet meals Embarassed)and all the laundry and other things. (Never mind that we are just getting the dressers in and still no clothes in them. At least we are finally out of the suite cases and organized in the closet. Razz)

The only funny thing I had to say though is, when life seemed very stressful at work even, there was farmville. The new craze......everyone at work was talking about it...then my bros, and then my husband got a farm while I went to an awesome women's conference at church. (Don't leave the men alone, they need us. Very Happy) So, then I caved. I can't believe I did. I had never used an application on facebook. I sort of never wanted to waste time......but Michael was having so much fun and made me a farm. So yeah, the only time waster we ever do, is sometimes play farmville. So crazy silly. Way dummer then the grand ol' LPW. But such is life. (My farm is coming along.) If only our real one was that developed. Very Happy
