Nothing exceptional has occurred over the last few weeks although I have been pretty busy.
*IT Meetings*
The meetings went well. The week was very full as we started at 0830 and usually did not end until 2100. I was informed that Birmingham is well known for their curry, but did not get a chance to confirm that statement because we were so busy.
There was a major topic regarding the IT strategy decision making process that much time was spent discussing. This pushed 2 of my presentations to either an after hours session for the one or being emailed around. Even though I did not have much time allocated to me during the meetings I still covered a lot of material. My main questions were answered more or less which is a praise report. In my one presentation I was able to steer clear of the details of implementation to get a decision made for further progress.
*Walking and sprained ankle*
Last weekend I drove my former flatmate to a full marathon. While he ran I walked and had a really nice time. The weather was brilliant.
The next day I was playing football (soccer) and that is when I sprained my ankle. It swelled up twice the size of my left one. One week later it still bothers me and causes me to limp around a little. I am praying that my ankle will be fully better for when I walk the Oasis Ten Peak Challenge at the end of June.
*Croatia*
I am off tomorrow morning at 0535 for my trip to the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and the Logos Hope where it is in dry dock work. My brother and sister are already there from Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing them, a change in my work, and warmer weather. For those that do not know where Croatia is, it is right across the Adriatic from Italy. I will let you know more about Croatia when I get back.
