I saw my new GP yesterday afternoon. He is a Christian and was quite helpful and responsive to my concerns. He was not able to get me into a orthopaedic surgeon for 4 weeks so he referred me to the A & E (ER). I went this morning and the doctor there was also quite helpful. (I read 100 pages of my book while waiting, but that is besides the point and was quite expected.)
He reviewed the x-ray and moved the ankle around a bit. He sees that there is a small avulsion fracture as was told me in Germany. It is small enough that no treatment should be done other than what is normal for a sprained ankle. He said to stay off the ankle for 2 weeks, don't do any sport for 6 weeks and then see a physiotherapist after that time. Since I will be in the US at the 6 week anniversary I won't be able to go to physio until I get back from Atlanta, Georgia.
Yeah! I will be able to get back to normal activites for the later part of summer. Praise God.
