[ Listening to Keith Green Currently: Listening to Keith Green ]

I’ve been on the road (and in the air) A LOT the last 5 weeks and have so much to share with you! I’ll try to do so as succinctly as possible…

April 10-13: DALLAS, TX
I was so thankful to have Kim Fletcher (www.kimfletchercompass.blogspot.com) with me and I could not ask for a more amazing travel companion! Kim and I were blessed with virtually flawless trip. We were so aware of Presence of God. We even had ontime flights. Smile

Saturday we had lunch with Norma McCorvey (AKA “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade) before going to worship at the same Easter Program that President George W. Bush and Laura attended. It was neat to be in the same place at the same time. But more importantly the Presence of the Risen Savior was there!!! It was also extra special to be at the Church where Jesus filled me with His Holy Spirit at 9 years old! These folks there are like Spiritual family to me - big mutual love!

Another highlight was spending an afternoon with my friend Stephanie Carrrillo who was the Director of an excellent documentary on Nick Vujicic: www.measureofaman-themovie.com but more importantly, is a passionate young woman of God. Stephanie is one of my very favorite people and I believe she is a voice for this generation!!

36 HOURS OF CRAZINESS
Kim and I flew back from Dallas and had a few “normal” days before she flew to Hawaii to enjoy time off (rough, I know!) and to prospect for a speaking tour we are looking at for 2010. After she left for the airport I started a graphic design marathon to finish Home School Digest (www.homeschooldigest.com) before I left for CA - no sleep just push ‘till my flight… I finished at 4:45a.m. put on my Nike Airs, grabbed up my carry-on and left for the Airport by 5:00a.m.

April 23-25, SANTA CLARA, CA
I was privileged to speak at the Bay Area CHEA of CA Convention this year. Other speakers included Denise Mira (www.denisemira.com) who is new to this circuit, my brother: Israel Wayne (www.israelwayne.com), and J. Michael Smith from HSLDA.

One mom that I was able to cry with and encourage has an adopted daughter with “Reactive Attachment Disorder” but is doing a great job loving into a place of trust. Another lady has a sister who has walked through Domestic Violence in her marriage and is stuck in “victim mode”, and was really seeking answers for how to help her move into the place of a “victor”. Then several mom’s lined up seeking practical advice on how to reach out and open their homes to the lost and hurting while protecting their children. One lady stuck a note into my hand while I was listening to another crying mother that read, “Your message was not what we expected, but it was what we needed to hear!”

April 26-30, COLD SPRINGS, CA
Israel spoke at a Church on Sunday then we were off Monday to speak at Jenness Park (www.jennesspark.com). Beautiful place! After speaking, I loved staying up late talking with mom’s who want to overcome issues from their past, go to the next level with God and also be more intentional about reaching out to others who are hurting. Love it!! J I also enjoyed great lattes from the coffee shop (yes, this is an upscale camp) and sitting by the creek to think and pray. Very refreshing!

May 1-2, NEW YORK
After spending the night at a hotel in San Francisco, CA Israel flew home and I flew to Rochester, New York where I picked up late by some friends of a friend who were gracious enough to let me stay at their home overnight and take me to the event where Mom was speaking the next day. A highlight was getting to be reunited with a gal named Sarah who I had met at the same event a few years ago. She is now in college and to see her loving Jesus more than ever! She said, “I want to see people get RADICALLY saved!!” Oh, how I love that spirit!!!

May 3-4, STATE COLLEGE, PA
After joining up with our road team we went on to do two more Wisdom’s Gate (www.WisdomsGate.org) Ladies Event’s, including an evening Tea in PA.

NOTE: If you are interested in hosting a Ladies event for a group in your area contact email: Sony@wisgate.com for more details. You will be amazed at how easy and undemanding we are to work with Wink

May 5, MILFORD, DE
We were blessed by a very welcoming Pastor and his wife at Freedom Worship Center and had a good event with the precious ladies there! Mom’s testimony had a big impact. My most significant interaction was listening to and crying with a woman who came because she loves our magazines. She grew up with abuse and heartache and ended up with the nickname “the little prostitute.” She still has many struggles in her life but God is now walking with her and helping her. I was honored to be able to speak faith and hope over her life and simple put my arms around her.

May 6, WASHINGTON, D.C.
We took a detour and a few hours to go sight see at D.C. everyone had different things that they wanted to see. For me, the most significant stops were the Lincoln Memorial (which also houses and Martin Luther King, Jr. exhibit downstairs) and the Holocaust Museum. It was heartbreaking - even more so because I had recently watched the Movie “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” (www.boyinthestripedpajamas.com) … but when we came to the room full of the shoes of those who were murdered in the gas chambers I wept. I was disturbed by many highschoolers who seemed unmoved or even irreverent, but did find a teenage girl curled up in a corner crying who I sat down too and talked with. I want to go back one day when I have more time to read, pray, cry and deeply contemplate.

That night we visited with our long time “Grandma” Doris Martin who (along with her amazing husband “Grandpa Glenn” who is now with Jesus) had reached out to our family before we knew Jesus and were still living in poverty and Domestic Violence.

May 7-10, HARRISBURG, PA
From there we went and set our booth at the CHAP Convention. It was great to have more time with Mary Schofield who I had just spent time with at the Leadership Luncheon at the CHEA Convention in CA and Texas Attorney Bruce Shortt. Bruce wrote a book called, “The Harsh Truth About Public School.” I encourage you to check out Bruce’s blog (especially if you think public schools are an acceptable option) www.harshtruth.blogspot.com

May 14-16, LANSING, MI
Mom (www.wisdomsgate.org/skeetsavage.htm) was one of the featured speakers at the INCH Convention (Information Network for Christian Homes) and I was on a panel of Homeschool Alumni along with Aaron Burns who was the lead actor in the movie “Pendragon” see: www.burnsfamilystudios.com/movies/pendragon to view trailer.

I met and talked with Paulette Brack who worked with "Concerned Women for America" for 14 years and had a great conversation with her daughter Danae who has a profile here on HSA and who I look forward to getting to know better.

An amazing blessing to me at this event was spending time with Chris Klicka (www.hslda.org/about/staff/attorneys/Klicka.asp). He and his wife Tracy are heroes of mine and their journey of faith through the rough and painful journey of Chris having Multiple Sclerosis deeply challenges me and inspires my faith. And getting to personally know Chris better this past year has been an incredible gift from God!

HOME / PRAYER
Now I am home with a list of people to interceed for, and so much that God has spoken to me to process and further talk with Him about. I am not satisfied with these past victories. I am SO THANKFUL for what God has done but once again today I will get on my face and pace the floor crying out to God for MORE... MORE OF JESUS and the LIFE, LOVE and POWER of His HOLY SPIRIT flowing in and through me, and less of anything that holds me back!

HOLY LORD, continue to increase the rain of Your Spirit on the dry souls!
Awaken sleeping churches!
Convict and draw this lost world to You!
Empower and motivate Believers everywhere!
All for the purpose of abundant fruit for Your Kingdom!!!

Thank you dear friends for being alongside of me in life and ministry! You make this journey all the richer...

Love in Jesus,
~Mercy
